Bulk materials are available in wire & strip as well as stock or custom sizes. |
Prince and Izant will draw wire down to specific diameters. Our slitting and rolling capabilities provide customers widths and thicknesses to make the strongest joint with minimal material consumed. In addition, powders and pastes can be customized for specific applications. |
| Bulk Materials utilize the following general purpose Filler Metals: |
Alloy |
Alloy Capabilities |
Aluminum |
Used in automotive and refrigeration, these alloys are available in wire, strip and preformed shapes. |
Bronze |
These alloys are mainly used for high strength and stress. |
Copper |
Pure copper is corrosion-resistant, with high electrical and thermal conductivity. Oxygen-free copper is also available. |
Gold |
Excellent for brazing iron, nickel, and cobalt based metals where resistance to oxidation or corrosion is required. These alloys have high strength and are primarily used in furnace (Vacuum) brazing applications. |
Nickel |
Mainly used in controlled atmosphere furnace brazing of stainless steel and is readily available in powder, paste, foil and transfer tape. |
Phosphorous |
Brazing alloys containing phosphorous are used for copper-to-copper brazing because of their self-fluxing properties. They are not for use with ferrous- or nickel- based materials. |
| Silver
Available in cadmium-bearing and cadmium-free alloys, silver-brazing alloys, braze ferrous and non-ferrous base metals are the standard in brazing. Versatility, high-strength, and low-melting temperatures offer a variety of applications and uses. Silver brazing alloys meet AWS, AMS, military and federal specifications, and can be provided with a certificate of conformance, compliance and actual chemistries. |
Silver
High purity alloys are used for the brazing of carbides, steel, cast irons, and other ferrous alloys. Vacuum grade filler metals are fabricated for use in high purity atmosphere of vacuum furnaces. |
Soft Solders |
Alloys ideal for low temperature metal joining. Lead based and lead-free solders in over 100 different alloys available with solid, acid or rosin cores. Soldering flux also available. |
Most brazing alloys are available in paste and powder form. The paste consists of powder, flux, and binder, which can be customized to suit your applications and automation systems. Many packaging options are available.
